In Egyptian collection, most of the jewellery is in the shape of big and imposing collars. When I started this collection at the beginning, I made an assumption that all the collection and its separate elements would not have their own names. On one hand it is a tribute to all the ancient Egyptian artists and craftsmen who created jewellery masterpieces anonymously, on the other hand, it is an attempt by the way of the interaction with a recipient, who not knowing anything about the work and not realising that there is an interpretation of it, they may create their own one. In some cases the interpretation is obvious, in other ones – not. Some necklaces, out of their context, may not be associated with ancient Egypt. I guess that is the phenomenon of Egyptian art – its universality. A distinguishing feature of this collection is its diversity. There are necklaces that are big, heavy, appropriate for evening formal outfit, as well as smaller necklaces and sets of jewellery for each occasion.
